Beginner Luck Show Jumping Dreams ~ Book 18 eBook Claire Svendsen Reviews
Claire Svendsen's books are captivating from the very beginning to the end. Although there always seems to be a few misspellings, I thoroughly enjoy reading these books.
In the story, the main character, Emily, is beginning to make more mature decisions. Emily doesn't always react maturely to each situation, but her critical thinking skills are improving her relationships. The best part of the story was when she looked at old photos of her family. It seemed like she gained a little insight into her past, which helped her with a new girl at the barn. I gave it a four star, since the last few chapters were skimpy in content; making the ending weak. Although the ending wasn't strong, I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
It is the day after the Easter show. Emily and Bluebird won the championship pony jumpers class. She had secretly registered for the mini Grand Prix race, but decided not to compete against Missy — a very grown up decision. Missy did not win, but Emily was glad she had not carried out her secret plan to ride against her. Now, she feels like it is her turn...
We learnt in the last book that Mickey has a new friend from Texas who used to ride. Her family sold their horses when they moved to Florida. Mickey brings her new friend Dakota to ride at Fox Run and Emily soon feels threatened by the girl. Even though she is not used to it, Dakota seems to be good at jumping horses — and making people like her...
Emily has been trying to call Jordan to find out why he never showed up at the Easter show to help her after he promised to be there. But, Jordan is missing and Emily is wonders if she should be mad or worried...
This is yet another heartwarming addition to the Show Jumping Dreams collection. I cannot get enough of these books -- they are so enjoyable! Thank you, Ms. Svendsen for sharing your love of horses with readers!
